Weight (kg/m) ≈ 0.0061685 × d²   (where d is in mm)

Simpler rule of thumb often used: Weight (kg/m) = d² / 162

Example: For 12 mm bar: weight ≈ (12² / 162) = 0.888 kg/m. Multiply by length (m) for kg.

Note: FPS display will show weight in lb and kg. Metric display shows kg only.
